Activities in Andermatt

Winter or summer

Andermatt, Hospental and Realp in the Gotthard holiday region have lots to offer. In winter the valley becomes a huge ski arena with 23 lifts and 140 kilometres of ski slopes. On the Gemsstock there is one of the very first Alpine runs created especially for carvers and the Paradeberg near Andermatt, scene of a series of exciting events, has long been a "secret" amongst skiers & snowboarders. If you're more of a cross-country skier you'll find 20 kilometres of well prepared runs between Andermatt and Realp. And if you prefer something altogether less strenuous you should try a gentle winter hike or go sledging on the Nätschen.

How about the mountains in summer – or summer in the mountains? The Gotthard holiday region offers a wide range of activities for every preference, whether hiking, biking, golfing or paragliding. Not to forget climbing, fishing and tennis, too. And for trips over the passes, the Gotthard holiday region is an ideal starting point – hop on one of the historic post buses over the Gotthard, take the steam train over the Furka or make your own way by bike, car or motorbike. We have everything you need for an unforgettable holiday or simply a few days rest a relaxation – and all in the midst of breathtaking Alpine scenery!
